Project – Social Media and Communications for Care Reform Champions at Hope and Homes for Children

Developing Automated Communication Channels to Strengthen Care Reform Advocacy

Project Objective

Design and implement a multi-platform social media and communication strategy for Hope and Homes for Children. This project aimed to create a sustainable and automated communication framework to support Care Reform Champions, enhance public engagement, and build a reliable subscription base for ongoing updates.

Project Description

In 2021, as part of my role at Hope and Homes for Children, I took the lead on establishing a comprehensive social media and web communication strategy tailored to the organization’s mission of Care Reform. This initiative spanned multiple platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Business, Facebook, and Instagram, with a strong focus on automated content distribution to keep Care Reform Champions and supporters connected.

Multi-Channel Content Automation and Distribution:

Utilizing my expertise in web content automation, I designed a categorical content structure that enabled posts and updates to flow seamlessly from the website to social media channels. This system included a flexible tagging and categorization framework, allowing relevant content to be automatically categorized, displayed on the website, and distributed across social media. The setup ensured consistent, timely updates on key topics, driving better alignment with Care Reform messaging across all channels.

User Engagement and Subscription Model:

A crucial aspect of the project was creating an efficient subscription model, enabling followers and supporters to sign up for regular updates. I configured automated sign-up forms that captured subscription data directly within the system, building a robust, organized database for ongoing engagement. The setup also included an automated newsletter function that aggregated content from categorized posts and delivered it to subscribers, providing them with up-to-date information on care reform initiatives.

Web Design and User Experience:

The website’s layout and user experience were designed to align with Hope and Homes’ brand identity, using CSS styling, typography adjustments, and design choices to ensure a professional and cohesive look. I integrated interactive contact forms that connected to a database, facilitating easy management of inbound queries and strengthening user engagement. Each category on the website was tied to specific tags, allowing for an organized presentation of content and an intuitive user experience that directed visitors to the information most relevant to them.

Security, Administration, and Team Training:

As a part of the deployment, I handled all security and administrative configurations to ensure communications were securely managed and separated from internal office functions. I implemented secure access protocols, focusing on protecting user data while maintaining open channels for public engagement. After the setup, I conducted team training and created detailed handover documentation, enabling the communications team to independently manage the site, update content, and engage on social media platforms.

This project empowered Hope and Homes to maintain an active, cohesive online presence and maximize outreach through Care Reform Champions, strengthening their engagement and advocacy efforts through automation and user-friendly design.
